You'll be diagnosed with gestational diabetes and most likely won't be allowed to go full term, cuz it causes babies to grow too big too fast.

You will also have to go on a special diet and be monitored more closely.

But you'll also have to monitor your blood sugar because if it stays too high for too long, there's a possibility it can lead to problems with baby regulating their blood sugar after birth. I got diagnosed with GD last week and have had to change how I eat for these last 2 mos. My doc also said I may have to have my c section week 38 vs. Week 39

After the 3 hour test, be sure u check it yourself, at home, before u cut sugar out of your diet. Those tests can be wrong. But keep a check on it at home, as if it's high, as directed by doctor.

@familyislife121417 it should only affect your delivery if the baby gets too big(meaning >8lbs). Which is the main reason they monitor baby when you have GD.
