Just a small rant
If your child is trying to speak to you, you shouldn’t be so “zoned” out that someone has to tell you twice and poke you for you to listen to them. I’m not saying you can’t be on your phone or video games or anything but you shouldn’t be so oblivious to your kid. Wake up and pay attention to them. Take notice and acknowledge them. It’s your job to love them, teach them, give them your undivided attention.
It irks me to see kids begging for parents attention and they just ignore them completely because they don’t want to lose the game or the video is so important.

@all4myprinces, I seen it at the hospital and the little girl had to go back tests and while she was waiting she was trying to show her mom a book and the mom just completely ignored her. The dad had to tell her twice and push her to get her attention and she still barely acknowledged her, I felt so bad

I can't stand people who are like that...people are and always will be more important than any electronics! I can't stand someone doing that to an adult and doing it to a kid is even worse and more sad!

Gosh I hate when my husband does this. He already has a hearing problem so he is very hard of hearing and our kids will ask him something over and over and I ca hear from the other room. I tell him all the time that he needs to be more aware and listen more and I'm tired of telling him to respond. So my girls usually ask me all the questions

My aunt does that, but she won't even be playing anything. Her 6 year old son will say "mom" like ten times and she doesn't answer so I answer for her and that's when she starts paying attention.. It bugs me because he takes notice of it. You can see it on his face.
