@hmpjcp2014 I'm mainly drinking water, but the nutritionist said that we can use those mio flavorings, or drink like the La Croix fizzy drinks if we need something other than water. Usually I'll have a small glass of milk or juice with a meal but I have to be careful bc some juices spike my sugar while others don't. Also, I'm lucky that milk doesn't spike my sugar.
@hmpjcp2014, that was the hard part for me too! Everyone is different though and your body handles carbs differently...I can't have bread, but I can have a small piece of chocolate cake! Go figure!! I've just really cut my carbs in my meals, breakfast is cottage cheese or a protein bar or eggs and bacon, snack is cheese stick and fruit, lunch is salad or leftover from dinner, dinner is any protein and I do good with beans or a sweet potato. It just takes planning and making sure you have healthy snacks for in between.
@laurenray93 yes please what do you drink I have a hard time drinking water
@hmpjcp2014 I'm not on meds either, I just have to watch what I eat and test my sugar in the morning and after every major meal. :( if you want, I can message you some pics of the lists and meal plans they gave me
I am not being put on any meds yet just got to watch what I eat ugh that's the hard part don't know what to eat.@preciosa1974 @laurenray93
I just got diagnosed last week. I had to take a class yesterday and had to change most of my eating habits. It sucks, but just remember it's all for baby and only for the rest of pregnancy.
I was diagnosed at 28 Weeks Going On 34 Weeks 1day it's not so bad for me I have been diet controlled since then I'm good good 😊
