So I need advice:

So my friend is having a party for her birthday and she is inviting this girl that has repeatedly screwed her over and always talk shit about me, acts fake like we are friends, then turns around and is two-face.

I told my friend I was going to the party because I don't wanna surround my self with people like that specially when it's a repeating cycle. I feel like she's not respecting me or am I in the wrong?
