My husband and I are at complete odds about nursing school. I feel let down & disappointed that the…

Why?

@beebaby, the school went ahead and scheduled me for classes next quarter they're all days and times I don't have anyone to watch my daughter. My family & his aren't very supportive in that area. This quarter he's been watching her for an hour on the one day he's off so I can go to my one on campus class. This next quarter demands more time so my dad offered to send my mom down to watch her for me at our place while I'm at school and then my mom would spend the night at my brothers. My husband said flat out no. He was like you should've thought about this situation before we had a baby.

@beebaby, I understand kids need time and attention from their parents and I'm pregnant again. I know when time comes for clinicals I would see them less and less and I agree I don't want someone else raising my children. It's just his response that was hurtful and unsupportive.

Can I just say, it is a struggle for sure. I have went to school 2 times. First time I only had 1 child, second time I had 2. Nursing school takes a lot of dedication and sacrifice. Your situation is different because your babies are back to back but when you want something you go for it. My hub was supportive. My schedule and his schedule meshed. He worked 3rd shift so i could go to school. Your hub has to be willing to sacrifice. Some days i left at 9am and didnt get home til 11. I hated that i barely seen my son in the morning and come home to them sleep. But it is a means to an end for success.

Not having his support or willingness to help would break my heart.

@beebaby, I know that's the way I see it as well. His perspective is different. He thinks here and now the kids are the priority and more important. It's just our financial situation is difficult although he's a used car sales manager we live paycheck to pay check his hours are like 120 each week and he's always complaining. I'm thinking let me lighten your load we'll be better off and he's just put off. Idk girl, I'm just disappointed you know.

@beebaby, yeah I'm still upset about it we had the argument over it yesterday. You know I wouldn't be the first mom to put school off for my kids. It's just hard I never pictured myself to be that person. I've always wanted to provide for my kids. But I suppose I can some alternate schooling once they start school.

You can do the pre-req online but unless you have his support its a tough road alone. That isnt a partnership if he isnt willing to help you be better. It would be worth it to get a lot done now before the new baby
