I just got my NHS 12 week screening results, the test says that I am low risk, but I noticed that the probability they give you is 4 times higher than last time. The age-related risk has not changed that dramatically, so I had a look at the protein concentrations and it seems that my beta hcg level is super heigh this time, so heigh that if that was the only parameter that looked at I would be offered amino! I've had a harmony/nipt test that came all clear, so I'm not worried about the abnormalities they tested for, like Downs syndrome, however after having a look online (big mistake, I know!) it seems that it can be a biomarker for a whole load of other scary bad stuff. Has anyone else here had this? Did the docs say anything at all about it? Was the baby OK in the end?
