Why do people buy maternity clothes? I feel that they are a waste of money.
@juliaschade41, you're not fat at all. All I see is belly lol. But I understand what you're saying.
@juliaschade41, I just wear leggings and pants that don't have a zippers. That I'm gonna wear after the baby's born, and a tshirt or baby doll tops.
@lamonicafrost23 I planned two but who knows I could have more years later lol
@mami1234, well that's understandable but if you don't plan on having at least a few. I feel like it's a waste.
@lamonicafrost23 cuz they're specifically made to fit our pregnant proportions of our pregnant bodies, making it more comfortable. Like you could buy a larger shirt to fit round wise, but they might not be long enough to cover comfortably over our whole belly, resulting in just an oversize belly shirt. Maternity clothes are designed to fit in every way rather than just buying larger regular clothes. Especially pants. They have the comfortable waist bands that fit comfortably under our belly unlike regular pants. That way we don't have to worry about zipping or buttoning them up, plus regular pants puts too much pressure on our bellies.
@lamonicafrost23 but I planned on having more kids so I kept my maternity tops from when I was pregnant with my son so I didn't have to buy that much to wear
@krenee1120, if you plan on having more kids than yea it's understandable.
@lamonicafrost23, if you won't fit it later than isn't that the same
Thing ?
Because we can't fit our regular clothes , plus most aren't done having kids so technically it may not be a waste
A I@anig_b, I would rather just but a size or 2 up instead of maternity clothes.
@lamonicafrost23 because most of them look funny and were not long enough to fit over my belly that was far out even the stretchy shirts that were not maternity .
@mami1234, but why not just go up a size in regular clothes instead of maternity clothes? They're so expensive.
I said I wouldn't. With my son I didn't have to, and today!!!! I bought my first maternity jeans lol, they were on clearance and I can't fit my pants anymore
