Help! Molly keeps on fighting me when I try to breastfeed but when I give her a bottle no fight. I'm gonna try formula feeding more but keep pumping so I'll keep producing enough milk for when she does want me to feed her again (my younger brother in law didn't get breastfed til he was 6wks).
So my question is why does she fight me when she's on my boob for 5-20mins but soon as she gets a bottle it's no problem?!

Because she's used to not having to work for her food when she has a bottle. When she's at the breast she has to work harder for the milk

Definitely speak to a lactation consultant. They help so much. If I was in that situation with my son I would put the tough love on him, he wouldn't have a choice because breast milk is so good for the baby. For example me and my little one both caught a cold from a family member 3 days ago. His nose ran for two days and today he's not sick at all. Sleeping like a champ, no runny nose, playing all over the house. Meanwhile I feel like death gargling chicken broth and knocking down emergency tablets. Breastmilk has superhuman antibodies so it's best to keep them on the breast and expose them to everything. That way before they're even 1 they have immunities from practically anything.
