Quick question π€ yesterday I was at the supermarket with my daughter and I put her in the cart where the kids usually go . . I don't know the name however my daughter end up falling out of the cart and the cart didn't have straps to strap her in. I didn't make an incident report is it to late to make a report? Can I file a lawsuit against the supermarket for not having straps in the carts?
@mamalambs, the cart didn't have straps at all, in fact none of the carts had straps, my daughter was trying to stand up in the cart but wind up falling, it was to late to catch her because I wasn't paying attention I was looking forward thinking she was seated. had that cart had straps it would have never happened because I always strap her when I put her in the cart.
If it was something you personally could've prevented from happening then no probably not because they will make it out as your fault instead.
Honestly they will probably just make it out as, you should've told the manager of the store right then that the cart didn't have straps and the chosen a cart with straps . If you take it to court you'll more than likely lose
Was she strapped in properly? If she was sitting the correct way (both legs through each hole) and strapped in properly, then yes you can! But if not, then no
