My husband has been having really unrealistic expectations of me lately ☹
Keeping up with all of the usual house hold chores that moms take care of
Making dinner
Packing his lunch
Taking care of our toddler
Helping 1st grader with homework
And about a billion other things, while also expecting me to crochet orders for my customers as fast as possible so I can get paid. Add being pregnant on top of that.
And he hasn't been helping with anything 😣 He comes home from work, plays with the toddler for MAYBE 5 minutes, then immediately spends the rest of the night playing video games, and leaving more messes for me to clean up. Then makes me feel guilty when I just CAN'T juggle all of that.
I'm going to have a mental break down 😭

Uggh, yeah I've been there. I stopped doing stuff. I stopped washing dishes for a year. We fought a lot during that time but he eventually appreciated all I did. Now I'm appreciating him a lot more too

@evie411 I haven't been intentionally not keeping up with things, but I get so far behind. I'm exhausted. And then if I ask him to help with kids at all, I'm "dumping the kids on him as soon as he walks in the door."

Yeah, I hear ya. That's what I went through before I went on strike. Lol. If you don't like the status quo, stop contributing to it. Iyherwise, it'll never change

@jojomylove idk how to fix it, it's just a cycle. I talk to him about it, he turns into a huge fight, and then he apologizes and does better for a little while before going back to same old crap.
