@beebaby our children are still completely dependent on us. To cook, Clean, Change, Feed, Bathe, so we should get paid for it. It's sad but I'd feel so much better about myself knowing that what I do all day long is worth something, something (other than happy healthy children because let's face it ,happy faces don't pay bills) comes out of my suffering😂

I guess claiming them on your taxes is your payment, enjoy. 😁 I hope when I'm old at least one of my kids will love me enough to take care of me instead of shipping me to one of those nursing homes 😟

@scidg3 me too lol but it would be nice to earn alittle bit of my own money for all my hard work. Lol

For me @meetthevalentines2017, watching my children learn something new is way more rewarding than cash. With 3 15 month olds I was able to finish school and now have a part-time job for a little cash of my own. I don't consider my children a babysitting gig and never will.

@scidg3 I didn't say that it was anything like babysitting? Neither is taking care of a family member. I think you have me alittle confused. I love that I get to raise my children but don't love doing dishes, laundry, or running errands and it would be nice to get paid to do those types of things. Being a stay at home mum is about more than just teaching your children things and those other things suckkkk most of the time IMO.

I like running errands keeps me from doing housework! That stuff isn't going anywhere tho.... I've had mine wear things once and thrown it away cause I don't want to wash it. Just wait till they get older and you can put them to work @meetthevalentines2017 next tax time tell your SO you get paid. Wife taxes are due for all that stuff!

I feel like its because adults should be able to care for themselves so its more of an extra task whereas children cannot care for themselves yet lol
