No you are right...the increase of stillborn rises significantly after a week over your due date

I had my daughter she was my first at 41wks n 5days

2 weeks passed due date is the norm unless patient refuses.

When I went in to have my son, there was a girl in the room next to me who had just delivered her baby stillborn. She was almost 4 weeks over her due date and had refused to be induced 2 weeks before. It was very sad. Had she just allowed them to induce her when they wanted to and all scans and test showed a happy baby... things might have ended differently.

@sixplus1 OMG that is so sad. I know some people believe in a natural process, you know like the baby will come when it's ready but sometimes medical interference is definitely necessary

@bbyotw, I had to get induced at 42 weeks pregnant and then I ended up having an emergency C-section because my son had little to no amniotic fluid

My OB didn't allow me to go over 41 weeks. I delivered at 40 weeks 4 days. He told me that the risk of complications skyrockets after 41 weeks
