When you get stitches because of the tears how do you relieve the pain it hurt so bad I can't even sit in the chair

omg i have stairs in my house and it took me foreverrrr to get up them when i had my first daughter...didn't the hospital give u stuff?..they gave me ice packs and some kind of cooling spray...pain only lasted like three-four days tho

@evonne, they gave me some spray but I might need to get some ice packs

Witch hazel pads, the spray, ibuprofen, warm and cool compress, sit on a pillow

Make padsicles! They helped me a lot, especially when the stitches started to heal and fall off. The hospital gave me Cortizone 10, the pain reliever spray and hemorrhoidal cooling pads. I used all three, every time!

@infinite_hearts, how long did it take for your stitches to fall off

5 weeks. It seemed like forever 😩 towards the end it started itching so bad, like everything down there was itching BAD. May be a bit TMI but I'm just being honest.

They itch to!!
