These tiny souls and bodies were put into my life to help guide and protect them. I don't own them but it's my responsibility to keep them safe and give them all my love. They are not an extension of me but their own person. I feel like things go awry when the individuality, the uniqueness of my child is denied in the service of meeting my own needs.
