Does he lose things alot? Maybe he wants it there forever, it is a tattoo. Rings can be lost stolen or whatever. If you dont like the idea talk to him. Maybe you guys can work something out that fits you both!

I don't think he has the right to choose for himself but make you wear one. How would he feel if you chose not to wear one? It's a symbol of your forever love. If it's just a tattoo that only symbolizes ink of something he likes. If it's a ring tat then yes! That says love, too.
