Okay I've been searching and searching but can't find the answer anywhere. We live in texas and are dealing with the flooding. We don't have enough formula and we don't want to risk going to the store if the store might be closed. Can I give my 3 month old watered down milk? I'm genuinely asking. I'm going to nurse and pump as much as I can but we're mostly formula fed.
I was commenting on her original post, not what her dr said to do; thank you 👏🏼 @txmomma16,
No you cannot do that. It will hurt is stomach! Call the emergency line, or go steal some! Lol. That sounds harsh but you gotta do what you gotta do!
@vamommy89 pedi called back and said to stretch out the formula. Try to nurse him every hour, watch his diapers to make sure he's not dehydrated. She said if I can find some baby rice cereal and absolutely need to, we can give it to him or up to 2oz of Apple juice
@nicoclev on the news they are staying unless water is coming in your home and life threating..maybe u can call red cross and they can bring you formula...are you fully out of formula..def wouldn't give a baby whole milk...its too strong and get hurt his/her stomach
@taradee17 are you? Talking bout 'Google It'. I'm stressing out and you say Google it. You don't have anything constructive to say, move on
@sherrynygirl they're telling us not to call 911 unless someone is hurt the lines are backed up
Many places are opening up the community centers..maybe call 911 and ask for red cross..some buses are going to pick up people who need shelter
@sherrynygirl we have power and the street were on is dry I just called the closest one and there's no answer
@taradee17 right, cos I didn't ask Google for instant answers before going to this app that id have to wait for responses.
Can you call the store to see if its open and if they have formula?Don't risk being outside in the flooded streets...I'm watching it on tv i live in miami....do you have power.they are saying over 250.000 places have no power
You can't water down the milk please dont do that there has been cases of deaths from that
@withlovedkj thank you. I tried calling the doctor and there was no answer. I didn't think about the news station
That sounds like a question for your child's doctor. Have you tried calling them or maybe the news station to see if they could help or know someone who could help? If it were me, I wouldn't give my infant regular milk due to possible allergies or problems that can arise. I hope that this is helpful and that you all can find the assistance you need. @nicoclev,
I'm glad the pediatrician called you back @nicoclev, !! Be safe.
