When out with my daughter I often get asked how old she is, I love to talk about my family so I'm always happy to share. What bothers me though is countless times that question has been followed up by the question "is her father around?" I'm not sure why people feel it's OK to ask that. I'd never even think to ask that question!

That's crazy! Who would ask a stranger that?? I have never been asked that though. I generally have my wedding rings on so maybe they see it and don't ask. I always get asked is your husband tall, your boys are very tall for their age. I get asked all the time how old they are and when I answer they are like oh wow, are yo sure? No, I just found these kinds randomly and they are calling me mom. I think I know how old the are, I was there!! They are tall, get over it. Rant over lol

@scarapella1 I would never think to ask a personal question like that! I wear my wedding rings everyday so I guess maybe no one noticed them (maybe a sign I need a bigger ring lol) but people in general are just strange sometimes.

@emily526, yes, me neither! I would never ask a stranger a question like that. Some people are just weird. Haha tell your husband, people don't notice my ring lol my husband would probably laugh at me
