We've been struggling to get Bradley to bed at night. Tonight we let him work it out (he wasn't even crying, just fussing a little) and he fell asleep within 4 minutes! I'm usually in there as soon as I hear a peep from him so it was so difficult. He knows how to self soothe because he does it a lot, but it was still uncomfortable for me

I "sleep trained" my daughter who doesn't self sooth and I felt like the most horrible mommy. Usually I'm running to her when she cries so it was so hard no to pick her up and snuggle but I stuck through it and now I lay her down and she cries for 5 minutes, whines for the other 5 and goes on to sleep

@ashleydunn, I feel so bad! He used to self soothe, but now he wants to play and hates being alone. I feel like as they get older it's ok to let them self soothe for a short amount of time

@timsprincess0214, she sleeps from 9:30-7:30 usually. She does wake up once around 4-5 and I give her milk then she goes back to sleep
