I had no idea that doctors suggest not to use baby walkers. I looked up some reasons why. They all seem like preventable reasons like, falling down stairs or out of doorways, tipping over, getting into cabinets....but cant that be prevented if you are watching ur child? Help me out somebody.

A lot of things can be prevented with supervision.

Exactly. Everything is dangerous if you plan to leave your child unattended. For us good mothers that DO watch our kiddos have no issue buying a walker.

I read that as well. I use it when I'm in the kitchen or shower just so my son won't wander around while I'm busy. Other than that I don't use it but you are right falling or tipping over is preventable.

@ashleydunn, i did read that too. I need to look more into that too cuz I would think jumpers would cause hip damage but havent heard that.

@madukes, they are all bad for prolonged use. I think I read soemwhere not to let them stay in one for more than 20 minutes at a time.
