How do you ladies buy clothes in advance for your kids without really knowing what size they'll be...I'm trying to get my son some fall stuff just so he'll have some warmer clothes when it gets cooler out. But right now he's 9 months. He even has 9 month shorts/pants that are to big. I think it really is either the style or brand name but I'm just lost on what to get him. Should I just stick to some 9 month things? I hate for them to be to small on him by the time he needs it though..I got him a few things already that are 12 month and his bday is Saturday so I'm sure he'll get a more things. I just want to make sure he has enough to tide him over by the time he needs it and I can buy more knowing his true size.

I usually just size up because they will fit him during winter at least for sure :) I've been ordering 24 months or 2T for fall and winter because he is wearing 18 months now and has been for some time! (He's huge)

@samanthaann, yeah I figured just get a couple 9 month things just incase and stick to 12 month. Length wise he's going to need 12 month. He's always stayed in sizes for a long time. He was in 6 months forever then he must of gone through a growth spurt cause nothing fit anymore. Now he's been in 9 months since beginning of summer at least. Got all these nice summer clothes in 12 months and he'll never get to wear them. At least bigger 12 month stuff he'll be able to wear in the winter being warmer stuff and it won't go to waste.

@sagwaenglish, yeah I figure I'll do that too especially for shirts. I'm not sure about pants as most of his 9 month jeans are still huge on him

@sagwaenglish, yes! He swims in jeans. I'm like ugh he won't fit in these for like another month or so. So I figure maybe just stick to 9 month in pants for now

My daughter got quite a bit of clothes that were size 12 months for her birthday that was summer clothes and she hasn't worn any cause she's fit 6-9 month clothes since her bday which was 4 months ago

@eryka616, I have a feeling my son is going to be in 9 months till atleast October in shirts and jeans for awhile as most don't even fit him yet.
