So I got the call on Friday from my Dr that my first trimester screening came back…
So I got the call on Friday from my Dr that my first trimester screening came back abnormal...meaning I am at higher risk for a baby with DS. She said it doesn't necessarily mean that it is guaranteed it's just an higher chance. As she was telling me over the phone i felt paralyzed. I didn't know how to react. I just said ok scheduled an appt and hungup. I go back to dr tomorrow for more information and to talk about further testing. Me and my fiance have already discussed that i am not going to ha r the amnio test. No matter the outcome we are going to love that baby no matter what! It still though of course is a scary thought to process.... Has anyone else had an abnormal first trimester screening test and there baby be born completely fine?

They told me the same thing with my daughter & she's a perfect 11 yr old . Don't stress it too much & good luck 🙏🏽

My cousin was told.the same thing and then got the further testing and everything was fine keep ur head up hope all ends up well

@lykinsamanda did she have to get the amnio? Or was there another option?

@morningkissesx idk exactly i just.know they sent.her to a specialist and after that testing everything came back fine

My friend was encouraged to abort her baby because dr's KNEW by testing it had DS. The #'s showed it. She said no way it's my child and I'll love it regardless. When that baby was born she was absolutely perfect. No DS and today she is an honor student and excels at everything she does. They aren't always right. :)

@morganmommy79 that's why I'm not going to get the amnio. It increases the risk of miscarriage and I'd rather not take that chance. All the test will do is give us a Guarantee but either way we are going to keep and love that baby. We will just have to do our research just incase. But of course we all still hope that the baby will come out normal and healthy
