Is it tacky or unnecessary to add a message into my registry basically stating that we'd appreciate secondhand items? I don't mind where they purchase or bring anything from and it doesn't have to be new just clean and in working condition. I also wasn't too sure what to put on my registry so I'd like to say something about them purchasing anything they think I as a first time mommy would need or they highly suggest that isn't on my registry. Should I leave the message blank? How would you word it if you wanted to give that heads up?

I would definitely post it. I mean, most people will still give new stuff, but if you prefer either, they will probably take it into consideration. 😃 They'll probably end up buying/giving you more stuff as well. 😃

Definitely post it. Especially if you have friends who just had babies and/or don't need certain items anymore. If they have something already in their home (lots of clothes, swings, bouncers ect they don't or haven't used) it saves them money and helps them and your chances of getting more things, even higher end items, are higher.

I would say something like "second hand items are greatly appreciated as well!" That sounds like a great idea.
