I don't know how people can forget there kids in cars and stores or wherever! I suffer from horrible mom brain and a little memory issues and even when my sons not with me I feel like oh he's in the back seat... Just cause I'm so use to him being with me where ever I go. I know it's easy to get distracted and just plain ol forget things but these are your kids!!! Need to be on your toes and be responsible for them, they count on us. It's truly such a shame 😔

I was just thinking that last night because my mom told me she once left my sister in the park when she was a newborn, and almost forgot her on top of the car :b and I'm like how??? I have mom brain too but I could never do that to my son!

I agree with you. I honesty think people are just lazy. They think "well I'm only going in to pay for gas. It'll take me longer to get the kid out then it would to just run in and pay quick." But it only takes that long for someone to jump in and take the car. Now those who leave their kids in the car while they are shopping they are just dumb. I'm sorry but there's no way they for got there kid. It would have it them within seconds. I bet a lot of these happen because by the time they got to the store the kid was sleeping and they didn't want to wake them up.

Yes, I have two boys and no matter where I go they come in with me! No excuses! I can see if the kid was 12 or older leaving them for a minute but not a baby. I don't see how you forget!!! Many times I had to carry a sleeping baby, I always had a heavy blanket in the car and would lay it in the shopping cart and lay them on it if they weren't in the baby seat. Or bring in my stroller. Deal with it, you are a patent it's your job!!

@bluepenguin, I couldn't either!! I think some people do it on purpose and just come up with some excuse as to forgetting.

I am the sameee way my daughter is with me every where I go.. leaving your child for a second in the car is neglecting them .. they are still very young and they cannot defend themselves yet. I honestly don't believe it is safe to leave your little one anywhere unattended. I get very paranoid leaving her while she is sleeping..
