Does anyone have any advice on newborns not sleeping at night. Like it might sound stupid but my little boy is awake from 11ish till 9 am. Wanting to play but sleeps really well in the day.
Liam did the same soon will past has he will wake up more in the daytime soon then sleep better at night xx
@sarahthe oooo then yes please 😂 I'd take the offer even if it's for an hour it'll help x
@sarahthe hopefully not but who knows. It's up to you but your parents taking him won't necessarily change the routine he will grow out of it when hes ready x
@mum2sky hopefully it wont take 2 months. Like my parents have offered to have him but hes still so little x
@olivia161 hopefully they dont lie when they say its a full time job zzz x
My daughter did this for 2 months. I just made sure as soon as it was light i opened the windows so she knew it was day time and night time I closed them. At that age they don't understand night and day but it'll go soon hun like Olivia said you just have to ride it out unfortunately x
@olivia161 it exhausting last night i had a whole half an hour then was awake again at 4 x
It's perfectly normal as the others have said they don't know the difference between night & day just yet. But you can start to behave differently during the day & night so they start to. I keep things light, bright & noisy as usual during the day. Lots of chatter, hoovering etc. Even during nap time. Don't tip toe around him. During the night, keep things as quiet as possible. I never talk unless I'm singing a lullaby or saying goodnight. Used the landing light or street light when feeding etc. Eventually they'll start to wake more during the day & sleep longer at night but for now it's eat, sleep, change, repeat 24/7 for a while lol.
