Been there. Are you looking for a particular job role or are you open to most things? There are some really good agencies online now a days. I found sharing my cv on Reed and Monster helped me massively. Also, going around shops and asking for application forms; asking on Facebook if any of your friends know if where they work might be hiring. Places like ALDI and ASDA are always looking to hire; they usually have online application processes. Try not to be too picky when searching. It is always easier to find work when you are already in work for some reason. Hope this helps x

I was pregnant when I got my current job. The law states you do not have disclose you are pregnant until you are 20 weeks I believe and the key is to look for something on the temp front. Talk to the agencies, you are in no way obligated to tell them you are pregnant and ask for temporary roles. There are loads of short term temp roles most people dont want to touch because they want permanent or at the very least ongoing temporary. Xx

Do you have any other children? There is a grant you can claim from the government I believe it is around £250 which will easily cover the essentials if you buy 2nd hand and are thrifty with your money. Because babies grow so fast you can honestly buy stuff barely used or like new for peanuts. You can pick up a 3 in 1 travel system for around £60 from sites like Facebook local pages and Schpock. That is your from birth pram, including baby carrier and a car travel seat. Which converts into a front facing pram so that'll cove you up until they are around 4 depending on weight. You can pick up gorgeous baby bundles for 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 months that have everything you need from baby grows to cute outfits. Normally prices range from £15-£25. The good news is you're very early in your pregnancy which means lots of time to look around and wait for the right deal for you. ALDI sell very good nappies for very cheap and if you keep your eyes open ASDA are always doing a deal on these baby boxes by Johnsons which contain all of their products for around a tenner. Wait for the deal and buy one. The products only require a pea sized amount to be used so last AGES! Cots, baby bouncers, moses baskets again you can get decent second hand ones for between £15-£25. Even blankets. People get giddy and buy so much they dont need and sell them for next to nothing just to get rid of them once their baby is too big. The government grant will easily cover these things. Dont forget baby wipes and sudocream. Own brand wipes are fine but I would definitely not skrimp on the sudocream. Again, wait for it to come on offer. You have the time to get yourself prepared so use it to really get the best deals you can xxx
