Anyone else deal with favoritism from grandparents? My boyfriend has a 4 year old from a previous relationship and his mom and her husband show clear favoritism for the 4 year old over our daughter. It wouldn't bother me so much if we didn't live with them but we do so I see it all the time. Like my daughter and I have been at my mom's house for the past two weeks and we come back here and the 4 year old has 4 new toys and a new DVD AND they took my daughter's rubber duck from the bathroom and gave it to her.
For Christmas the 4 year old got a new bicycle and a ton of new toys from them but my daughter got shit from the Dollar Tree, most of which I had to throw away because they had sharp edges. And Christmas was the first time they ever bought my daughter anything, they didn't even bother getting her anything for baby shower.
It just honestly annoys the fuck out of me and puts me in a shitty mood because until something around here comes available in our price range we are stuck here.

I would be so pissed! My in laws don't show favoritism because my daughter is their one and only grandchild but they are such cheap asses when it comes to our daughter. They haven't bought her anything except for dollar tree toys because they don't want to spend too much. God forbid. 😒 they are very wealthy. They can afford to buy her nicer things. I'm over it.

@amandahiatt I'm so thankful for my mom because she spoils my daughter even tho she has 2 other grandkids and a 5 year old daughter. But she spoils them as well except for one and that is just because she doesn't know what to buy for him because the mom is always buying him stuff. But I'm with you on the in laws being cheap asses. I swear it's because they don't like me, my boyfriend's mom even invited his ex to our 4th of July thing and when he got pissed she immediately asked if it was me causing problems.
