So excited. Also..cervidil sucks. They cram it into your cervix then you lay flat for 2 hours..no food. I hope you ate before you went

@twinpeanut no I didn't but I'm allowed clear fluids like jello and ice pops. They told me no moving for 2 hrs then for the next 10 it'll just be to get up to pee. Walking the halls now while I can.

@lillyb clear liquids will leave you STARVING. You'll be full for 5 mins. You can have ensure Clear that at least has protein. It helps

Do they not do pitocin anymore to start labor? I've never had to have tablets or cervidil. I've actually never heard of it until right now. That sounds like it sucks. I always got pitocin in my iv to start labor. Good luck!

@kelliewilder57 they do use pitcoin but they nurse thinks it wouldn't help me to start to right away. The cervidil ripens ur cervix and will help efface me the rest of the way. My body may take ovr from there for dilation and such. I guess it depends on the hospital and person

That's crazy! When they gave me cervidil I just had to lay flat for 30 minutes then I could eat and do whatever I wanted afterwards!

@anmlopez I guess it depends on the place and such. I don't have to lay flat just can't get out of bed for 2hrs then only out of bed to pee the next 10. They have to monitor baby and me.
