I have a serious question then I'll stop posting lol,my child is mixed (Hispanic and black)...idk…

@teniera, same I'm Spanish my boyfriend is black I just hate that is a really like a culture barrier cause my whole family speaks Spanish and he can't relate 😔

Well both me and my husband are “black“ but my family is Panamanian so they speak Spanish (I don't but do understand it) I plan on teaching my children Spanish as well as becoming more fluent in it myself. There's nothing wrong with being bilingual shoot I hope he can learn as many languages as he can.

I think it might help her more than anything. Yes it will be differences but once she starts school or whatever you choose think about the advantage she will have. Also my cousin was married to a Hispanic guy and had a kid with him. When she spent time with his family they only spoke to her in Spanish when she spent time with our family she only spoke in English (although they often clashed as you may have experienced) but it didnt hurt her learning in the long run

My husband is white I'm Mexican. And our families are very different. If you want your daughter to be exposed to both, it's a great learning experience. My kitchen is full of Mexican rich culture. Pottery, artwork, I put on Spanish music and my son loves it. I also introduce him to basic words. The letter "R" is something we work on. Lol He looks Caucasian but I want him to know where he came from and my little baby daughter as well. My husband loves it! He knows a lot of Spanish from me speaking it.

@marthaelisa17, but that's thing at least your husband is willing to at least get to know Hispanic culture ,mine won't 🙁 it sucks im Hispanic my daughter is to eventually she will be speaking it to,he doesn't understand

My husband is puerto rican born in puerto rico speaks English and spanish.I was born in Israel i speak english hebrew spanish i understand more than i can speak..it can help your child to know dif cultures and languages ;)

I don't have a mixed baby but if I did or if my DD has mixed babies when she grows up I would totally respect and embrace my dd's wishes and learn whatever it is I need to to be supportive and a part of it and I'd hope others would do the same for me. I'd talk to his family about your plans and ask if they will be excepting of it as well. I mean if the child says a word in another language they don't know then hey they'll learn something new. No harm in that. Its unfortunate that people are not excepting of things they don't understand. Me on the other hand I embrace it because I love to learn and I love to love. With love comes acceptance I'm sure they love your DD and will be supportive.
