I was induced and felt every bit of pain there was. I felt like I was dying. Take the drugs. I also wish I would've taken my own cotton underwear the ones they provide are Mesh and I felt super disgusted and nasty with them.

Slippers, and a wrap around robe.

Induction can take forever so take something to do. I took a hand held game and playing cards. Back then cell phones weren't that great. Lol

Take something to focus on like an ultrasound to remind yourself that through the pain you're about to see your beautiful baby. Don't tell them you don't want an epidural because then they won't be prepared in case you change your mind. I know they told me it was too late when I begged for it later. Mine started with cervadil which is (was) a thin strip of paper it seemed. It didn't do much but started the process. The next morning they gave me pitocin which hurts. It's painful and caused 2 contractions at once with my first baby. They give the epidural during a contraction so it's less noticeable. Just remember your focal points and don't deny the epidural if your not totally against it. 😊

I had a great induction experience lol, it really wasn't all that painful! Definitely your own cotton underwear like 1 or 2 sizes up from what you wear! And a heat pack! Mine took maybe 13 hours? In total and it really wasn't all that painful. I got the epidural at the 12 hr mark and then an hr later I was ready...2 or 3 pushes and he arrived. Don't freak yourself out..not every induction is dreadful!

Make sure you bring extra pillows and soap and shampoo and conditioner for the shower, bring a heating pad for the back pain and rest as much as you can a warm shower on your back or stomach for contractions does wonders also walking helps too being chained to a bed in pain is the worst also the epidural really helps with contraction pain I went from 5-9 cm and I didn't even feel it with the epidural also make sure you eat and drink a lot of water before starting pitocin hopefully your induction won't take forever like mine did good luck mama! It will all be over with soon
