Being a mother is a 24/7 job. From being pregnant for 9 months, getting sick, craving random foods, at random times, putting our bodies at risk, and also our lives, just to give you life, and also labor. It comes with, making bottles, changing diapers, giving baths, sleepless nights, long days, doctor appointments, giving medicine, fussy fits, little smiles, little coos, and SO much more, but what they didn't mention was, staying awake even though we should be asleep just to watch you sleep, breaking down when you're napping, hiding in the bathroom just to get a little break, the tears we shed because we feel like we're failing, wondering how we're gonna do it, staring into your eyes because you're our everything, they didn't mention that motherhood is one of the most amazing things, but also one of the hardest things we will ever do, they didn't mention that as a mother the toughest thing is watching you grow up on us.
