Being a woman of color, we're not on the " average" scale tbh. I can talk to my nurse and she'll go by the average charts. When I speak to a doula that's either Latina or " black" tells me otherwise. Having that knowledge saves me a lot of stress.

@mommab4, for example my nurse showed me a lady who was like 5"10 she had No stomach what so ever she weighed 210 lbs but she would be considered over weight because of her height but how when you have no stomach? Her fat was else where on her body so it made her be over weight according to the bmi chart. I'm 5'3 or 5'4 and I'm suppose to be 115 lbs. I don't think so, I would look like a stick around here. I was 150lbs before I was pregnant and I looked great.
