Need some advice. My son had his 2 mo appointment today and I wanna know what you moms think or if you've been through these things what worked best for you...

So dr said baby boy has cradle cap...anyone have any remedies? Do I need to remove it?

Also he's been sleeping in a swaddle since we got home from the hospital (he's 2mo now) but he wants his hands by his face. Dr recommended that we start putting him to bed out of the swaddle and suggested we do it now because of how frequently he gets up anyways. He goes to bed by 7-8pm will wake up around 11-12. Then again at 1,2,3,4,6am and will only nurse for 10-30min no matter how hard I try to keep him awake...anyone else been in this boat? He also said get a wannanub (animals on the end of nuks) for bedtime instead of him trying to nurse. Do they really work?

TIA!!!!!!

@sixplus1, my pump took a poo so I have to wait til thurs to pump and I was having trouble pumping extra I only get about 5oz and that's both breasts combined so I have to try and increase my supply. We want to have him on the bottle for awhile to see how much he actually is eating and how often.

@ace160, I thought about getting a zip up swaddle (love to dream) that has the hands up rather then in the wrap swaddles they have the hands down but eventually he can't be in them I just thought 2mo was early to break him of it. He suggested the animal nuks to try and break him if the nursing he does in the wee morning hours and the purpose of the animal is to serve as a anchor to keep in his mouth instead of him spitting it out after a few sucks or us holding it in for him. He hasn't reached the milestone of hands to mouth yet but we are encouraging it by bringing his hands to mouth and he gets to about his shoulder but it's an improvement. Thanks for your advice

Instead of nursing at night could you give him a bottle of pumped milk? I nurse during the day, then bottle feed at night.

So me I used coconut oil for the cradle cap and a baby brush put it in his hair and let it sit a couple mins than used the brush to brush it out it helped a lot than gave him a bath as for the swaddle my son slepted with his until 4 months and no matter how tight you put it he always got his hand out and slepted with it by his face that's not a reason to stop using it but with me my son got attached to the swaddle it was hard to break him of it.... so that's up to you and my son never used pacifiers but I heard the animals on them are a hazard so me personally I wouldn't but idk that's just me hopefully this helps a bit

For the cradle cap if it is loose you can comb or pick it out. If it isn't loose then leave it. You can use coconut oil, aquaphor out something like that. It will go away by itself though.
