That's normal.

My ob always warns me whenever she sticks "something" up there that I can bleed and cramp.

@juliannap, I just never had this with my son! That's why it worries me but as long as there isn't much on my pad and it goes away I'll feel better

@kaela3, When I got a pap it bleed for like 10 minutes and that was it. So hopefully your not gonna bleed anymore!

@kaela3, Ya that is kinda weird! Mine was a couple hours afterwards! Like I got it done at 12 and I didn't start bleeding until 10 that night.

I passed a blood clot earlier this week and they checked and everything is fine . MY DR said if its not the flow of a period. Or if its not dark red its normal .

a little bleeding after a pap smear is normal. your vagina walls are more swollen with capillaries full of blood due to your body producing double the amount it usually does now. sex can do that too(maybe not always). but if you are worried a run to the er would help reassure you❤️

@kaela3, it should subside in a couple weeks. i know after spotting when i was 6 weeks i ran to the er freaking out due to a past m/c so i was in tears. but after the ultrasound the doc said everything was perfect and both my OB and the er doctor put me on bed/pelvic rest. once i had my first OB appointment at 8+3 she said everything looks perfect and pelvic rest isn't necessary just be careful. but i'm still stuck on bed rest until i see her again and she will reevaluate everything.
