So I have a friend of a friend who lets her son wear girl shirts and dresses . She feels like clothes don't define him…

Is there something wrong with that?

@bhtlove, It's not my son so I can't speak on what's wrong or right about the parenting of another child

No one would mind if a girl wore boy clothes so why is it not okay for boys to wear girl clothes.

I dont know about clothes. I dont care about costumes or wearing the color pink, i also dont care about my son playing with dolls when he is at daycare because they are among other toys but i will not go buy him a dress to wear because i just dont think its appropriate. I dont know if its backwards way of thinking or not.🙃

Hmm. I have a friend like this too. But my friend sort of pushed her son to pick the "pink" toy or the princess t-shirt. I know she wanted a girl badly while she was pregnant and her partner still prefers girls so maybe that's why my friend is like that. I let my daughter pick something out sometimes but I don't push her for one gender. Sometimes I feel like it's the adult and not the child. In other cases it can be the child to actually want those things.

My middle son is 2 yrs(3rd baby) and loves to wear his big brother and sisters cloths all the time.. he trys to wear my heels, put my.bra on.. he is just exploring, pretending, i see nothing wrong with self expression to an extent.. i would never let him wear his sisters or my cloths in public. That stay within my house
