Has anyone ever had to get a level 2 ultrasound @ maternal fetal medicine? What does that even mean…

They might have stronger ultrasound there and they want to look at something better. Don't worry.

I did. Usually just means they want to get a better look at something they saw in their office. I had one there because of that and it was actually kind of nice because they were a lot more informative during and after the ultrasound.

I haven't but just wanted to say you're not alone. My doctor just called me yesterday and I have to go to maternal fetal medicine also.

I go to Maternal Fetal Medicine, I was referred because I had a miscarriage before my daughter and have high blood pressure. They just monitor you more and do more in depth ultrasounds. I rather go there than my regular doctor. Your regular doctor usually let you know why you are being referred, if not, ask the Maternal fetal medicine nurses.

I did last month and the level 2 was for the anatomy scan and they just looked at things more in depth. I go monthly to MFM and now they're level 1.

I did because my husband doesn't have a thyroid and we were worried it might be genetic. It wasn't any different
