Late in your pregnancy, do they automatically give you a 3D ultrasound? I'll be 30 weeks on Thursday. I had one done with my eight year old son before he was born but I was a high risk then. I'm not this time around

I asked my doctor about that. He said 3D ultrasounds are all for fun unless medically needed (high risk I assume). So I had to pay for mine elsewhere.

At my ob they automatically switch to 3D during 20 weeks scan

It's crazy cuz the tech is able to do it . All they have to do is switch it to 3D. I'd ask the tech . I'm high risk & there's only one tech that switches it to 3D for us

@nicolem10021, $55 for a 20 min session. They printed out 6 pictures for me and gave me the rest on a CD.
