So today I got into a disagreement with a mother on Facebook. Because someone posted something about the baby hitting them. I simply told her I grab my daughters hand and tell her NO "BE nice". I'm apparently now a bad role model and I should go to jail for child abuse. That a child doesn't understand no! And grabbing her hand is showing her violence. How tf!!! Am I a bad role model ?? I get woman discipline differently. But why bash other people for they're form of parenting and trying to teach a child. Smh.

It's not child abuse, I do the same sometimes if my son is being a little too handsy , like hitting or grabbing my hair, I'll take his hand and so, no that's not nice to do, hitting people/grabbing isn't nice. And I know he doesn't understand yet, he kinda da just smiles at me and thinks it funny but I tell him it's not. It's just a habit to get into that they eventually understand it's a no no but I know they are young and don't know any better, I don't get mad or yell, just a firm no.

My daughter is 5 months old. When she bites me while nursing, I say ow, pull her off, and say no. She understands and has stopped doing it. If you wanna be mean, say "Well my child is smart enough to understand no, I guess yours isn't." 😂😂😂

@candidbabex, my daughter is the same!! And I refuse to not teach her that it's wrong to do that! You don't hit people. What else am I supposed to do!

@bluepenguin, I do the same thing! Because my daughter will grab your hair and wait till you say no! Then pull. Like she knows lol but I know she doesn't she's still little.

@shylamarie, lol! And I swear I so wanted to! But I'm like you know what I'm not even gonna cross that line. And I left it where it was. This lady went as far as posting articles from doctors. I didn't even bother reading I was so over the ignorance.
