@infamousmama_, well usually it's 2-3 weeks after the procedure is done. Just continue to apply a&d ointment or Vaseline every diaper change and he should be fine. There shouldn't be any redness or bleeding anymore. Also watch out for any fusion. You should be able to see the head when you push the skin back to apply the ointment and a separate groove all the way around the head like a normal penis.
It won't be crusty or bloody. It will look like healed skin. My son's took about a week or so. There isn't any bandage to fall off.... my son wasn't seen again until he was a month old, so I'd say that's normal. We didn't have any specialist follow up appointments, just his pedi.
It'll look like the rest of his penis. Like. It won't be really really red.
The gauze? It fell off the day he got it (6 days ago) lol. And nope, they didn't set a follow up. Just told me to bring him with me at my follow up which is the 22nd (ALMOST A WHOLE MONTH SINCE HE GOT IT) which is ridic.
And has he gone back for his follow up appointment with the urologist?
