Every woman has a different experience, my best friend 1st c section was horrible but her 2nd was awesome. My 1st was easy and not painful. Recovery was easy for me I walked that same day at night, pain lasted 2 days scale of 5, I wore a girdle a soft one it really does help.

Also, they give you agirdle to wear, PUT IT ON RIGHT AFTER! This will help tremendously with the healing process. And if possible. Wear it for 8 weeks rather than 6 weeks. No pain during. Relax when they put in the anesthesia, if not, it WILL HURT WVERY TIME THEY TRY TO POKE. Scar, you can't really see much.
@tianna.jamie.melvin274, absolutely! Seriously though- buy and put a heating pad (plug in!) in your car trunk. That way, JUST IN CASE, you have the surgery, you can have someone run out to the car and bring it in to ya. If I had to only bring one thing with me, it would have been that.
Advice: don't agree to induction unless it's absolutely medically necessary. 50% of inductions lead to c-section.
Pain?: During? Not bad at all. Only pressure during. After: just swollen and BAD gas pains. A heating pad and walking help this. The heating pad helped the most. The second day: sore and hurts the most to get up and down out of bed. Again. Walking and heating pad are key.
How long did it take?: the surgery took about 45 mins.
Pain 1-10?:
During? Zero
Right after? 5/7 (mostly just exhausted)
About 5 hours +: 10. Muscle pain and gas pain.
My scar? Very low. Lower than my underwear line. And pretty much gone. I have to be naked and you have to be about 10 inches away to even see it.
