So, the house is only 5 years old so everything is updated and new, the cabinets are great quality but I've always wanted white.. also the island is not staying they are taking it when they move out. So 2 questions..
1. Paint cabinets white and walls grey or leave as is?
2. Square table or comparable island in place of the island thats there now?

I think light grey or white would look best if you keep the stove and refrigerator black. With dark grey or steal handles. And I would keep the island, I've always loved one.

White cabinets. But make sure you get the high quality paint so they don't always look dirty with fingerprints
