As my aunt said, here in NJ, if they could figure out a way to tax the air we breathe they would. However, were looking to buy a house in NJ anyway. Our rent is more than a mortgage. But we can't afford anything in our area.
@nomaci, that's how it was for me last year. I was paying rent and mortgage. My rent was more than my mortgage in NC. I was paying $4300 a month to keep both places 🤦🏽♀️. I eventually gave up the rent and moved to NC full time. I couldn't afford to live where I'm from in Monmouth County either. I wish I could. Your aunt is right lol my aunt says the same thing.
That's insane. My aunt actually just sold her house in Howell and is moving to Tennessee! They bought 10 acres down there for 60k. That's impossible in NJ.
