I had my baby boy almost 5 months ago and finally had my first period about 3 weeks ago! I am now trying for baby #2 (yes it's fast, please don't judge). I have been tracking my ovulation twice a day using opks literally since my period stopped and NOTHING. I'm on cd20 right now and it's not even trying to darken lol. My question is: did anyone else maybe take a few months to ovulate again?

No judgement, I'm just warning you being pregnant two years in a row is hard, you're body doesn't get to heal completely and then everything is stretching back out for new it hurts 10x more ☹️ I accidentally got pregnant when my daughter was 5-6 month old and I'm due this month.. this pregnancy has been so hard because I didn't get to heal all the way and I'm constantly in pain 😩

@tattedmomee_ I appreciate that, but my decision is mine. I'm tough.

Its not that hard being pregnant two years in a row what is the hard part is not having enough down time in between having infants. My girls are 13 months apart. So I got pregnant 4 months after I had my oldest. I was so overwhelmed. Having two babies back to back with no support system.... Sucked. But if you have a helpful caring husband then you'll be fine lol. My marriage was ending right before I got pregnant with my son so it wasn't exactly the ideal situation for me.

@ilovemychildren my husband works full time, but when he's home he is very present with the family! I am incredibly grateful for him.

@rleann123 that's good. My ex husband worked 40 to 50 hour weeks and when he wasn't at work he would just come home and go to sleep. I never felt like he was involved in helping me raise the kids so we ended up separating and I couldn't handle taking care of three kids alone so he ended up getting custody of them. Shitty situation all together. I wish you the best of luck with getting pregnant and expanding your family😁

@ilovemychildren thank you so much! I am sorry your situation went that way. That's literally my biggest fear is him and I splitting up. He's perfect (in my eyes) and I know I'm not. I can be snippy and cold sometimes and I fear he will wake up one day and realize he can do so much better.

Just FYI my periods did not stabilize until I was almost a year postpartum... I had one light period at about 5 months but my first REAL period was closer to 9 months, let me tell you I thought I was dying! 🤦♀️😅.... and I did not ovulate regularly... I was tracking ovulation using my basal body temp... I personally was tracking to avoid getting pregnant... but you do what you think is good for you!

@rleann123 as long as you communicate and constantly work on bettering your relationship then it will never happen to you. That was my mistake. Instead of trying to stay connected with my ex husband I chose to alienate him further and pushed him out the door. We fell out of love because neither of us cared enough to try to keep the relationship alive. So just never give up. Don't get petty. And know that not everything has to be a fight. You'll be fine 😁
