I have a dilemma and need advice ? I really want to go back to school, I said this to my mom who thinks it doesn't make much sense because what if I don't get hired in the field that I want after graduation, then I'd just be at square 1 again financially. But in my heart I really want to go and have a degree behind my name , to have a chance at giving Kai a better life and myself . I am not satisfied working some shit job living pay check to pay check especially when I want to have my on place in a few years. Im tired of struggling financially. My mom says I need to pay rent when we move as well but I'd be going to school full-time and no one is there to care for Kai , if I work then I'll never be around for Kai as well which is a MAJOR issue for me because I went through too much to have him to not be active in his life. I don't want him to ever say my mom wasn't there for me . So that's my issue, should I follow my heart and go back to school or give that up and just work for my moms benefit ...

I'd say go for it. It's what you want for you and your son. It's not for anyone else and it's not their place to have a say in your future. You never know what your going to get unless you try. What if you find exactly what your looking for with the perfect hours so you still get time with your son? Like you said you want something behind your name. You can get the degree and wait for the right job. It doesn't mean you have to jump into the first opportunity if it's not right for you.

I would go for it! It's going to be hard work but it will be so worth it at the end of the day. Now a days a lot of employers will work with you on hours especially if they want you for the job! I was still in school when I got pregnant with my oldest. It was hard, but I did it!! My husband and j made the decision for me to stay home til the hard in school full time but plan on hobby back part time when my little one starts 1st grade until they are older.
