Yes it can, my dr actually asks me if i have leaked slowly or any discharge,bleeding.. i would call the dr if i were you just to stay safe

@babygirltegan, honestly i would ur 40wks so at this point i wouldnt take a risk for nothing( thats personally me) or like i said call ur dr and ask them whats the best thing for you to do

If you are still leaking go in. Cuz it won't stop slowly leaking if it's your water
