Is 37 or 39wks full term?? Some tell me 37 while others say 39??🤔🤔

It used to be 37 but they changed it to 39. There are some doctors who will still say 37 weeks is full-term though

By they I mean the American College of obstetricians and gynecologists

@shellbell0391, i just wonder... my dr said baby is safe to come round aug 14(37wks) and anywhere till my due date(sept 3) so i just wondered

The reason that they changed it I think it's because due dates can be off so I baby born at 37 weeks might not actually be 37 weeks they could be 36 weeks or 35 weeks and might need to be in the nicu. Usually babies born at 37 weeks are born healthy but they benefit from staying in the womb longer

My son was actually a week and a half late 11 days

@shellbell0391, my daughter was born at 41wks 5days i mean i dont mind him waiting till due date i jst want him healthy even tho i am hurting😭

37 is full term

37 is not full term anymore and I don't go by what doctors say or people . I look it up . I go on different sites and even my app says 37 weeks is not full term . I'm waiting it out .I'm not rushing my baby out till she's full term .

39 weeks is full term

37-Early term 38-mid term 39- full term
