If people who have a cold sore would learn that they cant kiss a baby or drink from a cup and share it with a baby that shit would stop. Dafuq. Once you pass the virus on it stays in that host for LIFE. SMDH.

@lovelily, exactly! If they know they have it then they need to stay educated and updated on how to not pass it along especially to kids ....also why people should get tested and know their status!

@kyenkenmom You know, herpes 1 amd herpes 2 are diff right? One is genital, the other is just cold sores. Most people with cold sores don't get tested because it is NOT always sexually transmitted, mine wasn't (cold sores), and it's obviously herpes. The cold sore/fever blister outbreaks are very common and come and go but can be transmitted easily. Simple hand washing can go a LONG WAY.

Yes but you should always get tested on the regular, especially if you are with more than one person or the other way around...it's just the simple point of knowing your status and if you have cold sores me personally the first thing that comes to my mind is ruling out an STD for my sake so I would get tested to rule that out first thing first and go from there, not speaking on you but in general

I understand people get cold sores all the time and fever blisters but if I know there's a doubt then I would just get to to the doctor to make sure everything ok
