My panties have been strangely soaked today. How do I know the difference between leaking amniotic fluid and just leaking urine?? It smells funny, kind of sweet.

Mine was sweet smelling but almost didn't smell at all. Urine smells like urine but if you drink a lot of water it may smell less like urine. Amniotic will continue to leak but may be random

@morganmommy79, not always my sister woke up in a puddle a couple weeks ago she was 31 weeks and went in and confirmed her water had broke but it was covered that's why it wasn't leaking anymore. She's 35 weeks now and the sac is no longer broke and she's home on bed rest now. This happened to her 10yrs ago with her first child

@0816mommy, really? Ive never heard of a rupture not continuing to rupture. Seems like anything can happen in pregnancy. My nurses told me its usually discharge until it ruptures. Crazy stuff. Lol

@morganmommy79, me either but they did a dye test to see if she was still ruptured and she wasn't and she had gained the amniotic fluid back so they discharged her. I never knew a rupture could like heal or whatever lol
