I just found out I have group b strep. Has anyone delivered vaginally with no complications to baby?

You will just get antibiotics I think @ecahanes, had it I could be wrong though

Yes I ended up getting both dosages in time too. Just go in whenever you think labor is happening. The only complication I had was his body temperature not regulating great but that wasn't because of strep b. So everything was fine for me

Yep! They gave me 2 doses of penicillin in my IV.

They will give you antibiotics before giving birth you'll be fine

I had it with my last pregnancy. They found out at 4 months and gave me antibiotics and then by the time I was 8 months and was rechecked I didn't have it

Yeah I was with my last pregnancy and they just gave me some antibiotics when I went into labor and it didn't have any effect on my son

@kelseyp16, @ecahanes, @ilovemychildren, @sarab.estrada, thank you moms for reassuring me. My first was in the nicu for 10 days and I got the pamphlet of possible complications while at the doctor and started immediately crying. I just want a healthy natural labor and baby!

@ilovemychildren, I didn't have it with my first son. So I don't understand how I got this. I went complaining because my pee hole was itching, and I came back negative for uti. But in the culture they did the bacteria that grew was gbs. I got medicine for it. Hopefully it goes away

@mumstasin I got it with my son and with my youngest daughter. But didn't with my oldest two daughters. It just happens but is really nothing to worry about. The antibiotics take care of it

There is nothing you can do to prevent strep b btw so don't feel like it's your fault. If you do some research you will feel better
