So recently my son got off the bottle but still wants sippy cup at night time. Will the whole milk rot his teeth? Someone please tell me, I feel so shity now. π
Thank y'all so much for your in put. Thank gos my son does good with change tried not giving him a sippy with milk and put water only and he decided he would just go to bed! ππΌπ
Having a bottle or a sippy cup at night WILL NOT rot their teeth. It's when they SLEEP with in their mouth and the milk drips out. It's fine to give it to him! & if you want to break the habit of him waking up at night, give him water. Not milk!
Same with my daughter, shes formula feed but its still a form of milk and therefore just as bad as breastmilk or just milk. She wont take a binky anymore to sleep either, I'm relieved to have an answer to my worries, I don't always remember all my questions at dr appts. @mrshoward12713
Oh good I'm glad I was of help. I was shocked to find breast milk does the same as whole milk does to teeth with night feeding so when Dr told me that was relieved because my son has to have a sippy or he has a hard time sleeping. S happy water was OKπ @geekymomma13
Even breast milk will rot teeth always at night wipe down the teeth or gums after feeding. Its because when you sleep your mouth doesnt produce as much saliva as when youre awake so thats always a risk !
My sun did the same thing but he was breast feed till 16 months he stop breastfeeding on his own but wanted a sippy cup at night her still does he started getting small cavities on his teeth due to me giving him milk in the sippy , his Dr told me to cut bottle completely but if he must have one give him water in it and I do just that. It seems to work just fine and his teeth haven't gotten cavities. Its just a comfort thing they do Dr said so that's why he recommend water in the sippy cup at nigt
