I get SO pissed when my husband acts like I'm an idiot because he doesn't know/believe something that is common knowledge.
Him "Those pajamas look too small."
Me "Kids pajamas are supposed to be tight fitting, so they're less likely to catch fire in a house fire or anything."
Him "LOL, yeah right."
Me "No, really. Tighter fit means less oxygen under clothes, and nothing dangling to run through the fire."
Him "LOL, moms are so stupid."
Yeah. Because it's moms that came up this. Not pediatricians, scientists, clothing designers, etc. And it makes perfect sense 😤

Oh my gosh I would punch my husband if he said anything I told him about our children's safety was dumb. Even when I'm over reacting or being overly cautious with my kids my husband just tells me to relax not that how I feel is stupid or pointless. He always reassures me I'm a good mom too after. I get so mad when I see posts where the husband is just being rude.

@ilovemychildren my husband is a fricking moron, and lacks A LOT of common knowledge, but thinks he's a genius and knows everything. So if I tell him something he doesn't know, he acts like I'm an idiot.
It's one of the few things he does that completely fills me with rage 😡

I literally just cut a label off a pair of pj's I bought my daughter... wish I had it to send a pic... it literally said that night clothes are supposed to be tight fitting to reduce risk of a child's clothing catching on fire! It was literally the biggest tag on the sleeper!

@dreamermom even if I showed him a billion tags like that, he would think it's some stupid thing moms came up with, and not accept it as a logical fact.
He didn't argue about me putting our son in the PJ's, just treated me like I'm stupid for believing the reasoning behind it.

@dreamermom Yeah, his arrogant, know-it-all attitude is a major issue. I have a non-confrontational, peace keeping personality, so I don't even know how to deal with it. When I try to back my statements up with facts, he just talks over me and cuts me off 😞

Sounds like something my boyfriend would say. I call him out on it. I'm like just because you're ignorant and don't understand or know about it doesn't mean I am making it up or dumb. Research shit before you bash it.

@courtneyraelochamy he doesn't believe in researching things either apparently. If I have a question, i Google it, read multiple sources, and look for the most credible and common answer. He thinks I'm stupid for just "believing everything I read online."
As if the internet isn't our greatest source of knowledge, as long as you take the time to make sure the source is credible.
